|It’s been said that Covid-19 has created a broader scope of vision.|
For many, the Covid pause, has given us the opportunity to “see” much that wasn’t visible while we were going about our busy daily lives.
It has been an opportunity to evaluate and gain clarity on many areas of our lives.
What’s working? What’s not working? What needs to change?
The plans and visions that we had in place for the New Year, dissipated in the blink of an eye.
Most everything that we’ve known about our lives has been through some type of metamorphosis.
And, it truly has been a metamorphosis…the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages:
Have you felt it? Are you still reeling from its’ effects?
Much like the butterfly coming out of its’ cocoon, it’s a squirmy, uncomfortable feeling, making the moving forward that much more difficult.
There are some things that will help you as you come out of your cocoon.
1) The first is to realize that it is a process, and the process takes time.
Even a Butterfly needs to go through 4 stages before it matures into a beautiful mature butterfly. And, when it emerges, before it can fly, it is icky and damp and needs to prepare for its’ unveiling.
2) Change your perspective.
If we keep looking back on all the things that we thought we would have done by now, or how our vision for what we expected the year to be,is no more, we will be discouraged, and anxious, because we can’t see what’s ahead.
Create a new vision (I can help you with that!), for what we want to bring in to our life moving forward. Focus on moving forward.
3) Take action! Put a plan in place for how you need to move forward.
Strategize various outcomes, and take the steps every day that will bring you closer to those outcomes.
*Evaluate your life. What wasn’t working before the pandemic? What needs to change?
***Now is the time.
Giving up what defined our lives can be painful, but excitement about new aspects can prepare you to move forward and thrive!
This is an opportunity to reset, realign and re-examine what is truly important in our life. There are hidden blessings for us to uncover.
